Kia has recently unveiled the 2025 Carnival, the latest version of its minivan, which gets a refreshed design, more technology, and an available hybrid powertrain. Here is a closer look at what makes it stand out:
New hybrid power
For the first time since its launch, the Kia Carnival will offer an available hybrid powertrain for the 2025 model year. This new system combines a turbocharged 1.6L four-cylinder engine with an electric motor and a six-speed automatic transmission to generate 242 horsepower and 271 lb-ft of torque while reducing fuel consumption to an impressive level for a minivan. Of course, the current 3.5L V6 remains as the standard engine, providing more power and a smooth driving experience for all Carnival drivers.
A modernized design
The 2025 Kia Carnival adopts the latest design direction from Kia, incorporating elements that have been seen on other recent models, such as the amber Star Map LED daytime running lights, the refreshed tiger nose grille, and the Star Map taillamps. In addition to making the Carnival look more modern, these updates also help it get closer still to the appearance of an SUV, which has been a hallmark of the Carnival since the launch of the previous generation. The new Carnival Dark Edition takes the rugged appearance further with exclusive wheels, dark exterior elements, and skid plates.
A connected interior
The 2025 Kia Carnival also benefits from a completely redesigned interior that features the latest dashboard design from Kia, which places both the driver information screen and the infotainment screen in a single curved pane sat atop the instrument panel. These screens include a host of advanced technologies, such as voice-activated commands for almost everything, including the climate control and the side windows, over-the-air-update capabilities, rear seat entertainment system, and the digital Key 2 Touch system. Other features found in the Carnival include the digital rear-view mirror and available second-row seats with fold-out ottomans.
Advanced driver assistance features
The 2025 Kia Carnival also benefits from the latest driver assistance technologies developed by Kia in order to keep everyone on board safe at all times. These features include the usual forward collision warning and lane-keeping assist, but also more advanced items such as the semi-autonomous Highway Driving Assist 2 system, Evasive Steering Assist, and Junction Crossing Assist.
